Simple and elegant, these hoop earrings are lightweight and comfortable enough to wear all day. The earring hoop is gold filled rather than gold plated, which means it has a thicker coating of gold and will keep its lovely lustre.
About the stone
Malachite is highly distinctive, with its variegated banding and rich green colour. Its colour comes from copper deposits in the stone. Mined in Egypt since 4000 BC it has been used as an eye paint, a pigment for wall painting, and in glazes and glass making as well as jewellery. An ancient material that looks wonderfully contemporary.
