Delivery and returns
We worked closely with Joel Weaver, an artist creating detailed small scale drawings, to design Between Certainty and Oblivion, an abstract striped linen in shades of grey.
Perfect for light upholstery, curtains, cushions and blinds.
The design uses two original works by Joel, spliced and interwoven to form an abstract surface pattern. The more you look, the more you can see in this intriguing fabric which will keep your interest for years to come.
Crisp linen is the perfect base for this design, with a subtle texture and modern clean feel.
“My creative process begins with collecting discarded, vernacular, vintage photography and selecting stills from moving imagery. Initially, I sketch a very quick line drawing or use computer programs to work out composition, but from that point the drawing is measured and mapped onto the surface entirely by hand.
The brief was an interesting one and continued to challenge me throughout. I was eager to find out how even the minutest mark making would be interpreted on a much larger scale. With this type of work there is inevitably an element of surprise. Sometimes there are stumbling blocks; yet in the end, to have made that journey, it can deliver work that is refreshing and rewarding.” - artist Joel Weaver
