We believe in higher standards
We’ve all had a moment when a product we thought was British Made arrived with a label that suggested otherwise.
There’s an abundance of brands and products seemingly presenting themselves as British, yet not. It’s surprising to know that unlike our foods, most other goods don’t have to live up to the same standards when it comes to their provenance. And while ‘British’ suggests quality this isn’t always the case.
We believe that pulling the wool over consumers' eyes is a no-go. That's why we created our own H+S standard.
Made in Britain: our definition
If the items are predominantly treated or manufactured in the UK, or the majority of their sustainable core materials originate from here, they meet the H+S standard.
And it goes without saying that all our partners are ethical and have sustainability at their heart, too.
Meeting the H+S Standard
All our partners agree to adhere to and uphold these standards for all products. If a product doesn’t meet the Standard, it’s not listed. Simple.
How it works
Every product will have a simple breakdown to explain its provenance.
