Twisted Loom

Twisted Loom

We design and handcraft limited edition homewares and furniture using thoughtfully sourced, 'hyper-local' British materials and skills. We love Colour, Quality and Texture! We use beautiful wools from one of England’s oldest mills nestled in Yorkshire, as well as our own fabric which is designed in-house and printed locally. Our wood is sustainably sourced from local FSC suppliers, and our furniture legs and lamps are flawlessly hand-turned in Manchester. Central to our mission is the creation of ‘thoughtful furniture’ instead of ‘fast furniture'.

Winner of the Northwest Enterprise Award for 'most sustainable furniture & homewares manufacturer - Manchester' 2022.

What our customers say... “The personal experience I received was excellent and a very different experience to dealing with a large company”.

MEET THE MAKER

Charlotte Cochrane

Founder Charlotte Cochrane started off in the world of screen printing and sign writing, and has had a lifelong passion for crafting and making. She eventually settled into the life of an upholsterer in 2014. After the joys of upholstering other people's furniture, she wanted to design and handcraft her own Limited Edition, premium quality pieces... Twisted Loom was born. She mainly works with natural and sustainable products such as wool, linen and wood. Each of which feed into her love of texture, colour and quality.

Our Story

British. Not Brit-ish. Meeting the H+S Standard.

All our partners agree to adhere to and uphold these standards for all products. If a product doesn’t meet the Standard, it’s not listed. Simple.

About us The H+S Standard

Ethical

We’re proud to uphold the reputation for quality and ethical standards that ‘British Made’ implies.

Sustainable

We get really excited when our makers have sustainability at their heart. We love things that are made to last.

Support local

We are here to support our community. We reinvest back into the business so we can assist collaborations and keep telling our maker’s stories.
