Something Old Something New
I turn once loved but since forgotten fabric into ribbons and then weave them. The act of weaving gives them intrinsic strength and stability and allows me to play with colour and texture. Because of their source, the items I make are truly one of a kind and always entirely handmade.
I carefully reuse the offcuts too. They might be turned into the fastenings for a cushion, or the internal pockets of a bag.
My passion is for attention to detail as well as thinking out of the box and I delight in creating unique pieces.
