I create small editions of timeless handcrafted precious jewellery.

In the tradition of the studio jeweller I follow each project from the beginning to its end, from the design to the final polish.

I am drawn to the simplicity of modernist art and design, and inspired by art jewellers of that era. Calder, Bertiola, Art Smith are a constant inspiration and pleasure.

My work is sculptural and often evolves out of the making process. I use a variety of traditional metalsmithing techniques and am attracted to the way I can physically engage with material. The time spent on each piece, the often repetitive movement is a kind of ritual and meditation which I savour.
