Super Personalised Books

The inspiration for the business, is our now 4 yr old daughter, Sofia.

Even before Sofia’s birth, as parents we wanted to encourage Sofia to have a lifelong love of books.

We realised minority groups are still under represented in children’s literature.

International research demonstrated Personalised Books enhance a child’s reading experience by   harnessing a sense of belonging, as well as building confidence and self-esteem.

We ordered some of the most popular personalised books, and although they were good, we felt we could do something better, more inclusive and more impactful.

We created our first range of books.  Sofia, loved them, and was now the CEO (Chief Excitement Officer).

We decided that we wanted other children to enjoy the books, just like Sofia, so we recreated our initial books, and made them personalised.  Each book has over 200 options, to ensure we cater for a diverse range of children. Our books are “Super Personalised” books.

Our first range of books were based around gifting, for new parents, for birthdays, for mums and dads. 

We then created our range of seasonal occasional books, perfect for Christmas and for more cultural diverse occasions such as Chinese New Year, Baisakhi, Easter, Hannukah, Diwali and Eid.  

Sofia’s grandmother passed away in 2020, and as first time parents, we found it challenging to explain what happened.  The first book in the “Care and Wellbeing” section was created.  “You Are Not Alone”, is a book discussing how to deal with the loss of a loved one. 

Sofia now loved her books, and we could see her really engaged in her books, and started working on our range of books, that she could read whenever she wanted.  “The Power Pen” Series was born.  All the books in the range, involve a power pen that helps the child on their journey. 

“JK Rowling, broke all the rules with Harry Potter! JK Rowling got 10 year olds reading 600 page book, why?  I feel it is because children wanted to read the books….. The Power Pen series will have children wanted to read the books, as they are the star of the shows”.

Book Flicks has now been launched, its like Netflix For Books! Sofia, will often say, Daddy, turn off Netflix and read me my book.  Book Flicks is a subscription plan, that builds the excitement for children, just like when we were children, waiting for our monthly comic to be received.
