Nutcessity
Whilst at University in Australia in 2013, I had my first taste of nut butter. It was, without hyperbole, a total revelation - super delicious, easy to eat with everything, and good for you too. With an International Business Management degree behind me, and after lots of experimenting, questioning & travelling, I started Nutcessity after my role as a team leader with the voluntary charity Raleigh Tanzania, in August 2016, and whilst working for The Better Food Company in Clifton, Bristol.
The premise was simple - I wanted to create a beautifully packaged range of nut butters that were suitable for me (and my peanut allergy) but also different to those already on the market, in flavour & texture. Given my recent work experience I was also definite in wanting them to be organic certified and free from palm oil. I had my first shop sale in April 2017, hoorah!
There are now 8 flavours in the range, all being free from palm oil & unrefined sugar, as well as being peanut-free and gluten-free. All products are packed in plastic-free packaging. We're trying to make products that appeal to a wide range of people (like you!) - good for those with dietary restrictions, good for weekend breakfasts, good for gifts, and great for those looking for new & delicious interesting pantry products.
I now live in Wookey Hole, Somerset with my beautiful partner Lucie, of Bath Culture House. We work in Ubley, nr. Blagdon Lake, 6-days a week. You can usually find me at my laptop, on the phone, playing cricket, at a market or event, eating nut butter, or getting busy in the kitchen. Or eating nut butter (did I mention that)?
