MEET THE MAKER
Jackie Maguire
Jackie’s love of clothes came from growing up amid the historic woollen mills of Yorkshire. Her Grandmother was a factory machinist, Jackie would watch her working on a hand-turned Singer sewing machine, the slow, careful detail of the process igniting Jackie’s love of designing and making clothes.
Jackie made and wore her first pieces aged 8. After selling her first fashion collection pieces to independent retailers at the age of just 17, Jackie went on to gain a Fashion Design first-class honours degree from the University of Northumbria. Relocating to London, Jackie worked for fashion retail giant Marks & Spencer and then took a position at the celebrated design studio at renowned Maria Grachvogel, where Jackie created bespoke pieces for music and fashion icon, Madonna.
