How the Leopard got his Spots' velvet pendant lampshade

£150.00

A dark and luxurious velvet lampshade, perfect for adding character and pattern to both period and modern rooms.

'How the Leopard got his Spots' was taken from a hand lino print by artist Alexis Snell.

The design depicts vibrant leopards leaping through the jungle amidst monstera leaves and flowers on a black background. To authentically recreate the handmade effect of Alexis's original design, the irregularity in the print has been retained, and a closer look will reveal 18 slightly different leopards climbing through the jungle.

'I like things that are a bit dark and strange and I'm always drawn to a good story. A flea market, a late night drunken conversation, an old advert or a matchbox might get me thinking about a new idea.' - Artist Alexis Snell

Available in two sizes and also for pendant lamps, the lampshade is hand made in England to a high standard and suitable for bulbs up to 60W.

Sizing:
Large lampshade: 40cm diameter x 25cm height
Medium  lampshade: 30cm diameter x 21cm height

'How the Leopard got his Spots' velvet is also available to buy by the metre and as ready made cushions
